  • footprint: 855 acres

  • Offtake: Tuscon Electric Power

Torch’s first utility-scale project in Arizona was the Red Horse hybrid wind and solar facility. Red Horse combines 55dc MW of solar energy with 30dc MW of wind energy to deliver 71 MWac of combined power to the utility at a single point of interconnection. The project’s innovative structure utilizes a single PPA and interconnection for both the wind and solar phases of the project. This structure maximizes the value of the shared facilities and produces a higher combined capacity factor than could be generated by either stand-alone project.
